HEY! ITS NICE TO MEET YOU!

i am Nicy,

I blend my industrial design expertise with jewellery design to create distinctive pieces that balance form, function and craftsmanship.

BECOMING A JEWELRY DESIGNER

when you let go of plans

I began my design journey at NID, exploring diverse fields such as furniture, packaging and game design. While each discipline offered something new to discover, none quite sparked the creative connection I was looking for. During an extended break in the midst of the pandemic, I rediscovered a collection of jewellery sketches I had made years earlier. Revisiting them felt like reconnecting with a long-lost interest, and prompted me to explore jewellery design despite having little experience in the field.

My first internship in jewellery was a leap into the unknown. I was new to jewellery, but not to design — and I soon found myself drawn to the unique combination of form, craftsmanship, material and problem-solving that the medium demanded. What began as an unexpected detour gradually became a discipline I wanted to pursue deeply. This journey led to the launch of my debut collection, which went on to receive recognition both nationally and internationally.

Looking back, jewellery was never part of a carefully laid-out plan. It was an unexpected path that taught me the value of staying curious, letting go of rigid expectations and allowing the right medium to find you. Today, I continue to bring that same curiosity into my work, exploring jewellery through the lens of an industrial designer while developing my own visual language within the craft.

MY CREATIVE STYlE

My creative style blends meticulous craftsmanship with bold innovation, drawing from my industrial design background to bring a structured, problem-solving approach to jewelry design. Inspired by contrasts such as fluidity and rigidity, simplicity and complexity, tradition and modernity, I create pieces that merge functionality with aesthetic allure. I push boundaries and explore new techniques, crafting visually striking and meaningful jewelry that often features modular and multi-use elements. With a keen attention to detail, I ensure each piece resonates personally with the wearer, making a statement and capturing emotions in timeless, unique designs.
